Exceptance

I forgot to mention that I bought Command & Command: Generals Zero Hour yesterday. It was not a bad buy since there aren’t many good strategy games on the market today. I only have 2 more games that I want to buy and that is SimCity 4: Rush Hour Expansion and The Sims 2.
Watched The Day After Tomorrow yesterday at Jurong Point. The movie wasn’t that bad and the special effects were superb. However, the storyline sucks. There wasn’t even a proper ending. The story left me wondering what happen to masses (numbers unknown) of people that seeked refuge in Mexico and most importantly what happened after the whole calamity clears up.
Going back to camp tonight. Tomorrow there will be a new batch of trainees coming into SISPEC. I could still remember my first day in SISPEC, relieved that some of my section mates got into the same platoon, taken aback that there was no reception for Starhub subscribers. It was in the 5th week that I have gotten OOC having done 1 IPPT, 1 ET run and no SOCs. It was a daring move but my health is far more important than the ranks I attained at the end of it or even the money. Oh well, I could spout all kinds of bad things about the army but ultimately I still have 2 more years to complete…

Indulgence

Came back yesterday night after spending on magazines, games, and food. It feels so good to be back home. My mum and my 2 siblings went to Genting this weekend leaving me home alone with my dad (the army has to spoil all the fun I can have).
Played IKARUGA again yesterday; made a little mistake cause I only saw the 3rd boss the other time and didn't managed to get to level 4 cause the boss is confusing, it keeps spinning round and round and I have to be quick in switching between black and white. Yesterday however, I managed to make the boss run away after 100 seconds and also after a few collisions with the boss that costs me 2 lives and got to level 4. To confuse me even more, the stage started off with this "thing" that rotated round round just like the 3rd boss but this was worse because I have to do my switching even faster...(my head is spinning right now...)
Anyway, I'm home alone today and I'm thinking of watching The Day After Tomorrow at Jurong Point at 3.55p.m.
Watched Harry Potter And The Prisoner Of Azkabhan last Monday alone at Tampines Mall. I must admit it was a good movie. The whole story slots itself beautifully so that I understood every inch of the film even though I didn't watched the second one. The Dementors was absolutely scary but they looked so real. It's really worth a second look.

Regard and Resumption

Booked out yesterday and got 2 days MC because of fever and flu. Blowing my nose all day. I don't think that I will want to book out everyday because the there are money and time issues that I have to address if I were to go home everyday. Besides, work ends at 5p.m.
Yesterday got posted to HQ in the Training Team department and spent the first day burning books (that's the reason I got sick).Although its a slack job, I really objected to burning the paper because of all the smoke it produces and not to mention the heat from the fire. All the books should not have been there in the first place. They (I don't know who) should not have printed so many books knowing that they will be burnt.
3 days to slack at home and to get better. Golf coy is going to The Chevrons today and have a merry time while I'm at home blowing my nose into tissue papers (aaaaacccchhhooooo!). Life's a lot better in Foxtrot coy although it was a bit too siong.

P.S: The past few titles of my entries are taken from the subtitles of THE DARK TOWER series by Stephen King: Resumption, Renewal, Redemption, Regard, Resistance.

Resistance and Renewal

Getting ready to go back to camp. Takes me a long 1.5 hours just to reach Pasir Ris, talk about advancements in transportation! Its really a drag to go back to camp but luckily its mid-week; 4 more days and I'll be back in the comforts of home. Listening to I NEED SOME SLEEP from the sountrack of SHREK 2 now. A very sad song but it applies to what I'm feeling now.
Indulged myself with food today to make up for the sucky food in camp.
I personally think that the island of Tekong is cursed because whenever I'm in camp, it never rains but when I'm at home it pours. Hope I will get posted somewhere good (can't find a better word than good because the Army has sucked dry my vocabulary). Will be packing a lot of stuff into my duffel bag and getting ready to be posted to HQ. It will be one heavy load, sorta reminds me of passing out from BMTC. I will never fail to forget the graduation that was never held due to the f****ing weather (that was the only time that I prayed that it never rains) but its to late now.

Purchase and Redemption

Just came back from camp feeling tired as usual but never defeated (yeah right!). Played IKARUGA again today. Got past the 3rd boss and even got the chance to see the 4th boss but at the cost of 6 credits. Also bought SHREK 2 soundtrack. Nice songs inside especially ACCIDENTLY IN LOVE by COUNTING CROWS and HOLDING OUT FOR A HERO by JENNIFER SAUNDERS.
Got to be posted to SISPEC HQ on Thursday. Don't know what to expect. However, I will miss all my Foxtrot buddies and the OOCs. If I were to stay I will be very devastated because its feels hard to accept that the rest of the company will be getting their corporal ranks while the rest remained as privates. Anyway, I still have 2 long and agonising years before I get my pink IC and re-enter the civilian world and continue my studies in NUS.
