First Time

This week has been a smooth one. The week started off with lectures and tonnes of practical. Revielle has always been late, at 6 a.m. but sometimes as early as 5.30a.m. No one's complaining though! Nights out on Wednesday was spent watching Mean Girls. It was a bitchy and funny show; kinda reminds me of Final Destination.
Thursday saw us having our first IV (intravenous) infusion. Not so much the pain that bothers me but the pain of having to poke your buddy and also the risk of stroke and cardiac failure if a bubble as big as a50-cent coin were to enter the bloodstream. My buddy got a 'one shot one kill' but I had to poke him twice since the catheter was bent on the first try. Juz 9 more IVs to go. It will definitely leave a scar or rather holes in my skin.
Next week have guard duty and what a perfect time to have guard duty; its nights off day! But as they say here, nights out is a privellege, not and entitlement. Lan Lan have to suck thumb.

Priority...Haywire

Many things are going on in my life recently; got posted to new camp, need to buy a lot of things, study for tests, make new friends, etc.
Last Monday got posted to Nee Soon Camp to be a combat medic. Actually got posted the week before as a temporary support staff having 8-5 job, near my house but everything was taken back(my freedom) when I have to do the course. The course didn't start off too bad but it took me a couple of days to get accustomed to the way they do things they did here. There are a lot of things to study here despite the slackness of the whole course. It will take 11 weeks to finish the whole course and graduate on the 21 of September with a level 1 paramedic certificate.
Part 6 of The Dark Tower series is out; Song of Susannah. All I know is that Susannah has escaped through the Doorway in the caves as Mia, daughter of none! Its the most addictive book I have ever read! But now I have instead bought Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone because its cheaper, by more than $30.
I'm also in the process of saving money to buy a new handphone and also wait for the release of The Sims 2 on September 17.
Booking back in today but looking forward to the nights off!
